25th Anniversary Celebration: The Cooperative Feeding Program/LifeNet 4 Families is having its 25th anniversary celebration on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66. Our evening of fun includes a happy hour, fine dining, entertainment, and a live and a silent auction. Ticket prices are $150 per person. Various levels of sponsorship are available from $1,000-$25,000. You may also purchase an ad in in our Celebration Journal. Please mark the date in your calendar and call us at 954-792-2328 to purchase tickets, ads, sponsorships or to donate auction gifts.

The 8th Annual Filling Empty Bowls Dinner is set for Thursday, April 8th from 5:30 to 8:00 at The Unitarian Universalist Church of Ft. Lauderdale, First Congregational Church, UCC, Temple Bat Yam, and Center for Spiritual Living. Your $10 donation will provide you with a nice pottery bowl and homemade soup. All contributions will benefit The Cooperative Feeding Program, LifeNet 4 Families.

BOGO DRIVE (Buy one get one): Publix is offering two for one sales just in time to help CFP restock our empty shelves. As you buy one item for your pantry, put the extra free item into a bag for CFP. Start a BOGO drive at your office, business, church, temple or civic group meeting. Help us collect tons of food thanks to you and Publix joining forces. It won't cost you a penny.

BAG IT UP- Ask for your brown bag and fill it with food just in time for the holiday season. Help us serve 7,000 families between November 1 and December 24. We have bags on hand for you to pick up.

HOLIDAY EVENTS: The CFP is getting ready for our holiday season. From the first week in November, until the last week in December, more than 7,000 families will receive help for the holidays from CFP. We need your Publix and Winn Dixie gift card donations, volunteer hours, food, toys and financial support to help make the holidays special in these difficult times.

ORGAN CONCERT: Watch for the posting of our annual Spring Organ Concert and fund raiser for CFP.

ANDY'S PASTA DINNER: February, Andy Cagentta assemles his family to put on a fabalous "Real Italian" Dinner, from soup to nuts, at the Signature Grand featurning WQAM's Sports Radio "The Big Dog" Joe Rose you won't want to miss this annual event.

ANNUAL GALT OCEAN MILE "RUN-WALK AGAINST HUNGER' & FOOD DRIVE, MARCH  a great event to bring awareness that "Hunger is no day at the beach".

EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE: Be a part of an historical event in Ft. Lauderdale. Join us to watch the rising of the sun over Ft. Lauderdale's south beach on Easter morning. All proceeds generated from this beautiful event go to help CFP, Sea Farer's House and The Business and Professional Women of Ft. Lauderdale.

ANNUAL LETTER CARRIER'S FOOD DRIVE: Second Saturday in May U. S. post offices collect food to distribute to local food pantries. CFP receives the bounty from ten branches and needs your help in donating food and then helping us box up all that food collected on that day.

JUNE: National Hunger Awareness Day: Learn about hunger and its impact on our communities and its citizens. Commit to work toward hunger elimination in our lifetime. Volunteer to serve at least one day in the community kitchen of family food pantry.

JULY: Christmas in July: We need men's socks, hygiene kits, T-shirts and other items that we can distribute as holiday gifts to our homeless. Also accepting cash donations to pay for our showers.

AUGUST BACK TO SCHOOL DRIVE; We need backpacks for 1,500 low-income children in Broward. We need your recycled uniforms, slightly worn school shoes, and assorted school supplies to fill the backpacks.

SERVICE AND SERVING: Your organization can have a half day of "hands on" service with the CFP staff in exchange for a $1,000 contribution. This donation helps us purchase a van load of food, while your company or service groups has a hands on experience in the front-line of poverty.
