Barnes & Noble Bookfair Voucher Supports CFP

On Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 7:00 PM Dorian Cirrone, a local author, will be at the Barnes & Nobles at the Broward Mall to sign her new book - Prom Kings and Drama Queens - a story about high school students staging an alternative prom. Come out to the store and support a local author working to empower youth to make better decisions - AND present the special Cooperative Feeding Program Voucher at the cash register at the time of purchase and a percentage of the net sale will come to CFP!

Simply download the Barnes & Noble CFP Voucher, print it out, and bring it to the Broward Mall Barnes & Noble for the Bookfair. If you can't make it that night, the voucher is good through April 4th. See how easy that is?

As always, we thank you for your continued support in feeding the hungry!
April 3 - April 15
Win tickets for Bruce Springsteen & Support CFP!

Support CFP and see The Boss! Bruce Springsteen has chosen The Cooperative Feeding Program to be his "charity of choice" for his April 18 Bank Atlantic Center concert.

Tickets are being auctioned off by Charity Folks. The auction starts a 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2008 and will end April 15, 2008 at 6 p.m. Up for auction is two (2) sets of two (2) tickets and ESL passes to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's performance in Ft. Lauderdale at Bank Atlantic Center on Friday, April 18.

The seats are located in the loge section (first tier above the floor) within the first five rows, either to the left or right of the stage. If the venue has a General Admission area (fondly known as "The Pit") the auction winner may choose to be in the Pit, rather than seats. The Pit is a corralled-off area on the floor, directly in front of the stage, that houses approximately 200-300 people. The Pit is standing room only and we do not guarantee placement in the Pit it is a first come, first serve area.

The E Street Lounge passes will enable the auction winners to go backstage to relax and have a drink before the show. The Lounge has a cash bar and is open before show only.

We have been invited to attend the concert and set up a table promoting The CFP and our good works and seeking donations from Bruce's friends. This is the second time Bruce has picked us out as a favorite charity when he came on tour to Broward County. We send out a big "Thanks" to The Boss for giving us this very special honor and opportunity! See you at the concert.

Ticket pick-up takes place at the ARTIST WILL CALL WINDOW in the Box Office
March 1 - April 30
Feinstein Foundation Annual Million Giveaway To Fight Hunger

For the eleventh straight year, Alan Shawn Feinstein will divide $1 million among hunger fighting agencies nationwide using it to help them raise funds during March and April, 2008.

The more donations made to the Cooperative Feeding Program - from March 1st to April 30th, the more of the Feinstein Foundation money CFP will get! Only donations received from March 1st to April 30th, and from use of the Feinstein challenge, can be counted. These donations can include cash, checks and food items (valued at $1.00 per item or pound) as well as pledges, as long as they were obtained ONLY from use of the challenge.

The Foundation's million dollars will be divided proportionately among all agencies complying with the above (a minimum of $250 and a maximum of $50,000 to participating agencies).

Feinstein’s past $1 million challenges to fight hunger have raised a record $760 million for agencies nationwide. Your donation toward this campaign makes you a partner in the most successful grassroots campaign to fight hunger of all time. That is something you should take great pride in.
