By Your Donation: through direct cash or pledge donation, legacy gifts or sustained giving, the Cooperative Feeding Program can leverage your financial support to purchase food for those in need.
The Annual Campaign: In 2007, the Cooperative Feeding Program is bracing for an ever-increasing demand for our services. The expected demand is forcing CFP to rethink our approach to developing desperately needed financial support.
We are making it easier for you to help us maintain the quality of service in the face of increased demand and truly make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. Our 2007 is $1.4 million, an increase of 20% over last year's, which corresponds to the expected increased demand.
For 2007, we are making a number of changes: first and foremost, we are offering different opportunities to increase your giving, by pledging to solicit you only once in 2007, if will support or pledge your support to us in our current campaign.
You now have the opportunity to: send in a onetime comprehensive stretch gift; pledge that stretch gift that you can be billed for each quarter; or have your gift deducted from your credit card each month. Hopefully, you can consider an increased gift, knowing you will not be solicited again in our periodic appeals and that you have the opportunity to spread out your payments over the course of the year.
Your support does make a difference!
Last year, 1.2 million meals were provided, over 29,000 families received food and fed their kids or aging parents. Over 75,000 individuals had a daily meal. rents were paid. Move-in costs were provided to help families facing homelessness avoid that tragic disgrace. So much good is being done, 365 days a year, at the Cooperative Feeding Program that we truly are a lifeNet4Families. All this was done with a less than 10% overhead rate.
Not unlike the people we serve, making it from day to day is getting really tough. Never before has there been such a need for a program like CFP that addresses a vast range of problems and offers solutions to so many of the concerns of the working poor, the elderly on fixed incomes, the sick and the disabled.
The Cooperative Feeding Program is a totally private, federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency that operates solely on the funds and gifts generated by socially conscious individuals, organizations, businesses and foundations.
