Publix "Food For All" Campaign Supports The Cooperative Feeding Program
March, 2005
Publix Super Markets made a $ 10,000 donation to The Cooperative Feeding Program today as part of a one million dollar distribution from last fall's successful "Food for All" campaign.
The "Food for All" holiday program is a six-week point-of purchase fund-raiser that invites Publix shoppers to make a $1, $3 or $5 contribution each time they pay for their groceries.

"We are delighted for this oh-so needed support for The Community Feeding Program from Publix and Publix's public", commented Marti Forman, CEO of the award winning agency. "We are both proud and saddened by the fact that The Cooperative Feeding Program served close to 900,000 meals in the last 12 months. Proud by the amazing achievement our team of volunteers and few staff achieved, yet saddened by the fact that in this, the world's richest country, more than 300,000 children in southern Florida will go hungry tonight".
Thanks to Publix shoppers, there will be fewer hungry children in southern Florida as of today.
The 2005 "Food for All" campaign will run from October 23rd through January 1st, 2006.
Publix is owned and operated by its 127,500 employees, with 2004 sales of $ 18.6 billion. Currently Publix has 850 stores in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee.
